MEET KATE HUBBEN

I started practicing yoga in 2008 and immediately felt like it was the first time that my head and body felt connected.  More on that later.  I tend to throw myself into things so I did Bikram yoga, went to Wanderlust, went to yoga retreats led by Amy Ippoliti, Jason Crandell, and then finally bit the bullet and took the 200-hour Teacher Training with Tami Schneider at Cleveland Yoga.  Tami hired me as a teacher at Beachwood and Little Italy.  I was in the best shape of my life and felt grounded and strong from my daily meditation and yoga practice.  And then life took a little detour.    

 

In 2018, I broke my leg walking my dog and tore my rotator cuff while fake rock climbing at a gym.  In 2019, I had foot surgery.  And then after double vaccination, I got Covid-19 in August 2021.  I have been suffering from Chronic Airway Disease and Long Covid for the past year.  My yoga practice is rebuilding, but my teaching has blossomed.  I taught on Zoom throughout the quarantine and it made me a much better teacher.  I love yoga more than ever and I think you will too.  It is called a practice for a reason so meet your body where it is right now.  I am.  I hope you join me.
